3rd day on Island Dear Journal, I can’t believe that I have survived another day on the Island. I live in a cabin right under Cass’s tree house. This cabin has everything! My room is in the back and I have a loft bed and a large window. My walls are blue with clouds and I have hard wood floors with a large light blue through rug. The cabins kitchen has the best fridge in the world and everything you need to make food with. But what I think is the best here is the front room. There is a big fire place and the most comfortable couch in the world! I also really like the front porch type area; there is a swinging bench on it! ~ Sincerely, Valda
Dear Journal, In the middle of the day the storm started, I don't understand how it just started pouring. But when I felt one little drop on me while I was walking to go fishing I turned and ran into the cabin. I was surprisingly soaked. As I came into the cabin I already saw Julia sitting by the fire place. I came over and sat next to her. Then the storm got really loud, I yelled that I will make some hot chocolate and put extra chocolate in hers. I went over to the fridge and there was only enough milk for to cups and enough hot chocolate for one person. I made the cup of hot chocolate for Julia. I walked over to her and the storm got even louder, I gave her the hot chocolate and ran into my room. And here we are, I think it is either day or afternoon, I can't tell because of how dark it is. Any who I should be getting to sleep...........
Day 6... I'm sitting with Valda, trying to wait out this storm, and sipping my hot chocolate (Valda makes the BEST). I really hope this storm ends soon, I want to explore the island some more. I move closer to the window and watch the pouring rain, when my eye catches on something. I see a bright violet flower, unlike any other that I have seen before. It seems to be calling to me, urging me. Before I know what I'm doing, I'm running out into the storm, dashing to the flower, picking it, and sprinting back inside the warm cabin, dripping wet. I fill a cup with water, and gently place the flower in it. Valda thinks I've lost my mind (believe me I think I have too) but as I finger my phoenix necklace and dry off by the fire I can't help but wonder what other mysteries this island has for us. -Julia
